This series took place in the winter in the south of Sweden to connect with relatives and tell the story of close friends and family. I was studying lighting with s mentor in New York City, so introducing artificial light in rugged outdoor environments was a focus of mine allowing me to bring out a wide range of colors in my portraits.
Todde, the first image of the series, to this day, is the most recognized image in my portfolio and may always be.
My work with Business Outside is very much at the core of what I enjoy personally which makes it a joy to document.
New York by Night, was the first portrait series that I photographed from 2010 - 2016. This was where my love for mixing light first began. At the time I was photographing in the NYC event photography world by night so I found myself walking home through the glow of street lights and became inspired to tell a story of the city that never sleeps.
Touring with BCDC and photographing their shows in Baja was one of the coolest things I have ever done. BCDC has incredible energy especially when the volume gets turned up. I had a fresh set of lights and used them everywhere which made for unique and cool imagery.
This album is a sequence of images photographed in the US Virgin Islands. A majority of the images were captured off the island of Saint Croix while guiding groups of my charter guests through some of the most beautiful underwater environments I have encountered as a captain a freediver and a photographer.
My goal was to depict the underwater world and show the sheer distance from the surface and the sea floor while bringing the viewer’s attention to life under the sea.
